Overview

Responsibilities

An Average Day: As the Cloud Administrator you will assist with the deployment, integration, operations and maintenance of windows virtual servers.  Perform systems administration and endpoint engineering with SCCM and Intune.  Provide Support for Windows Virtual servers in the on-prem VMware vSphere and Azure cloud as well as troubleshooting issues.  Participate with the integration of the Azure cloud platform into customer environments.  Have a high degree of customer interaction including pre-deployment planning and knowledge transfer as well as handling technical escalations. Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Assist with the implementation, operations and maintenance of Active Directory, Cloud Identities, Exchange, Teams, ADFS, AAD Connect, SCCM, Intune and PowerShell.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of technology following all standards and best practices set forth by governing bodies.
  • Provide Azure engineering support to operations and foundational teams.
  • Assist with performing root cause analysis to provide guidance to technical leadership regarding future issue prevention.
  • Stay informed of emerging cloud and Office 365 technologies.
  • Ensure cloud governance standards are met to maintain cloud security and proper controls, end-to-end automation of deployment, and monitoring and infrastructure management in the cloud environment.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of technology following all standards and best practices set forth by governing bodies
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance to technical leadership regarding future issue prevention
  • Analyze customer business requirements.
  • Design, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of an Office 365 Tenant
  • Plan and execute an end-to-end implementation of the target workloads
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Office 365 and related core technologies
  • Perform Operations and Maintenance on respective Office 365 and and Azure AD workloads
  • Stay informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates the value to the organization's operations
  • Responsible for implementing cloud governance standards that ensure cloud security and proper controls and end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management in the cloud environment
  • Communicate with the project manager on upcoming changes, events, and schedules
  • Commit to creating quality deliverables on time and on budget
  • Collaborate with team members to define, mature, and roll-out design and cloud standards, processes, and tools
  • Coach and mentor other team members to develop a highly productive team
Qualifications
  • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C).
  • Must hold active DOD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance
  • DOD 8570 certification compliance (IAT Level II or Higher) (CySA+, SSCP, Security+ CE, CCNA Security or GSEC) is required.
  • Must have an Operating System (OS) Certification, a MS Azure or Cloud Specific certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience administering cloud frameworks
  • 2+ years' experience with SCCM and Intune
  • 5+ years' experience with systems engineering
  • Experience in cloud engineering and administration.
  • Requires and in-depth understanding of Azure Active Directory (AAD) and cloud networking and server deployment.
  • Practical knowledge of configuring and implementing Azure resources and services
  • Active Directory: Must have real-world experience helping to manage and maintain AD, GPO's etc.
  • Azure: Should have experience with Azure AD, Intune, Cloud App Security, Conditional Access
  • Ability to translate company objectives into cloud designs that are scalable, and support the enterprise architecture vision
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to provide concise status updates to senior IT and business leadership
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
