Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and management of the annual and ongoing financial planning processes and/or the development and management of interim variance analysis reporting. This position is responsible for the initiation and participation in various aspects of financial analysis within the Company.*Close and Budget/Forecasting responsibilities may be split between multiple roles.

Education & Experience

Required:
• Bachelor's (BA/BS) Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Five (5) to ten (10) years progressive finance or accounting experience
• Three (3) to five (5) years experience leading or supervising a team
• Five (5) or more years of experience in financial analytics and modeling
• Advanced Excel skills
• If supporting the TRICARE contract, must have U.S. Citizenship
• If supporting the TRICARE contract, must be able to receive a favorable interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation

Preferred:
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• Demonstrated proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis

Key Responsibilities
• Forecast responsibilities may include leading and driving the annual budget and ongoing forecast processes, supporting the building, maintenance, and evolution of forecasting models and reporting, and budget analyses.
• Close responsibilities may include leading and driving the monthly close variance analysis reporting, including consolidated reporting as well as department level views, and facilitating and supervising the preparation of periodic cost reports.
• Develop various analyses for senior management for use in decision making.
• Work with Accounting on monthly close, review account balances for appropriateness and potential accrual or miscoding issues.
• Support departments to assist them in maintaining their budgets while achieving their designated goals.
• Use all tools available when creating financial analysis, including Excel, nVision, and PeopleSoft Query.
• Lead efforts to analyze data and develop analytical tools.
• Produce reporting that is timely, complete, thoughtful, understandable and accurate.
• Drive process improvements.
• Mentor, manage and develop staff.
• Develop, align, and track individual goals, performance assessment and compensation recommendations.
• Ensure all processes and documentation supports departmental policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with G.A.A.P. Knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP or similar software. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Advanced Excel knowledge to include the ability to create pivot tables, write lookup statements and "if" statements, and build, validate and troubleshoot Excel models. Strong statistical background to perform complex calculations. Experience with queries, dashboards, and other financial data reporting tools. Business partnership and presentation skills. The ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
