Direct Reports: MEP Superintendents, Area Superintendents (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing), MEP Field Engineers, Project Engineers, QC Inspectors, MEP Trades

Key Responsibilities
• MEP Scope Management:
Provide overall management leadership for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover, ensuring alignment with project milestones and design-build delivery requirements.
• Procurement & Contracting:
Lead the procurement process for MEP trade packages including development of contracting strategies, bid leveling, scope definition, contract negotiations, and buyout. Evaluate market conditions, long-lead equipment, and recommend optimal packaging and delivery methods.
• Schedule Ownership:
Own the MEP integrated schedule; drive critical path activities, develop look-ahead plans, coordinate with the master scheduler, and ensure system installation and commissioning milestones are met to support overall project turnover.
• Safety Leadership:
Champion a safety-first culture across all MEP operations. Enforce safety programs specific to high-risk activities including electrical energization, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and working at heights. Drive zero-incident performance.
• Design-Build Coordination:
Partner with MEP design engineers during design development to provide constructability input, sequencing recommendations, value engineering opportunities, prefabrication strategies, and early identification of long-lead equipment and materials.
• BIM/Clash Coordination:
Oversee 3D MEP coordination and clash detection processes; ensure field installations align with coordinated models, drive model accuracy accountability, and leverage BIM for prefabrication and installation planning.
• Subcontractor Management:
Manage and hold accountable all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors; drive Client loading, equipment planning, material deliveries, and prefabrication schedules.
• Budget & Cost Control:
Manage MEP scope budgets, track costs against estimates, identify and mitigate cost risks, and support change management processes.
• Commissioning Oversight:
Lead MEP system startup and commissioning planning; coordinate with commissioning agents, process equipment vendors, and owner operations teams to achieve system turnover milestones on schedule.
