Full Job Description
Overview

The Medical Director is responsible for leading medical strategy and execution for a core brand within a client portfolio. This role translates complex medical and healthcare system information into clear, actionable direction and ensures scientific accuracy across all materials entering regulatory review.

Responsibilities

Own Brand-Level Medical Content
  • Lead medical content for assigned brand(s) within a client portfolio
  • Translate clinical data and health information into positioning, messaging, and claim direction
  • Ensure materials reflect real-world treatment dynamics and HCP decision-making
  • Anticipate scientific, clinical, and regulatory risk


Lead Scientific Review and Regulatory Process
  • Serve as primary medical reviewer of promotional and non-promotional materials for patients and providers
  • Review copy, layouts, concepts, and client-facing deliverable to ensure scientific accuracy and clinical relevance
  • Prepare materials for regulatory review, including detailed reference annotation and reference validation
  • Support regulatory review discussions for assigned brands
  • Resolve scientific and clinical feedback efficiently and accurately


Collaborate Cross-Functionally
  • Partner with copywriters to refine claims and strengthen scientific clarity
  • Work with strategy partners and creative teams to ensure ideas are grounded in clinical reality
  • Contribute to briefs and creative development from a scientific perspective
  • Lead disease and product education sessions for internal teams and support client education, as needed
  • Ensure cross-functional partners understand key clinical and competitive dynamics
  • Reinforce scientific standards during onboarding of new team members


Support Team Development
  • Contribute to internal training and scientific knowledge sharing
  • Mentor Associate Medical Directors and provide structured feedback


Contribute to Growth
  • Support new business efforts related to assigned therapeutic areas
  • Provide scientific input for pitch materials and RFP responses
  • Help identify opportunities to expand client engagement through strong medical partnership

Compensation Range: USD $106,780.00 - USD $153,405.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
