Your Role:

MilliporeSigma in Burlington, MA, is hiring a Media Production Specialist. In this role, you will create multimedia content for internal and external audiences and utilize your video editing/productions skills to support live and recorded events at the company. The role combines creative storytelling with strong production, ensuring that every project is impactful, on brand, and delivered on time. The Specialist works closely with subject-matter experts, communications colleagues, marketing colleagues, and others to turn concepts into engaging media experiences across digital channels, live events, learning environments, and social platforms.

This position will play a key role in the assembly of finished projects that meet the vision and goals of our clients and will support pre and post-production media projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Edit video and audio content, including narrative cuts, interviews, presentations, reels, and short-form adaptations
  • Perform color correction, sound editing, motion graphics, add subtitles, and basic visual effects as appropriate
  • Create platform-specific versions and formats for websites, social media, learning platforms, presentations, and internal channels
  • Log accurate captions, transcripts, metadata, and other accessibility features
  • Properly store source files and final assets using agreed naming, storage, and metadata standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on suitable formats, production approaches, storytelling techniques, and channel requirements that strengthen clarity, audience engagement, and brand consistency
  • Build productive relationships with internal experts and contributors across functions and locations
  • Maintain consistent technical and editorial quality across all deliverables


This position may include extended hours on occasion to meet deadlines. Travel may be required for work events.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Media Production, Film, Broadcasting, Communications, Digital Media or other Media/Communications field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in media production, film, broadcasting, communications, digital media, social media creation


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional experience producing and editing video, audio, or multimedia content
  • Experience across the full production lifecycle, from briefing and pre-production through delivery and archiving
  • Practical knowledge of camera, lighting, sound, editing, and digital media workflows
  • Experience using professional editing and production software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, or comparable tools
  • A portfolio or examples of relevant work that demonstrate creative and technical capability
  • Video outline, and storyboarding experience
  • Audiovisual event support experience
  • Ability to prioritize projects and change priorities accordingly
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • High level of motivation, adaptability, and positive attitude
  • Willingness to support live events via various roles. i.e. - cameraperson, teleprompter, etc.


Pay Range for this position: $69,400 - $104,100

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
