What will you do?

Schneider Electric North America Operations Power Systems Division has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to assume the role ofEngineering Supervisor - LV and MV Switchgearat our Smyrna/Mt. Juliet, TN or El Paso, TX facilities.

  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and support of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear systems.
  • Oversee day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering professional growth and skills development.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for LV and MV switchgear projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and procedures to optimize team performance and product quality.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and project management.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, providing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates and address technical inquiries.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: 3 + years of Proven experience in a supervisory role within an engineering department, preferably with a focus on LV and MV switchgear.
  • Skills:
  • Must have 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
