Responsibilities - Own mechanical subsystem layout and design for automated material handling systems, with minimal oversight. - Select and specify conveyor types and third-party equipment to meet project requirements. - Collaborate closely with electrical, controls, and structural engineering teams for integrated solutions. - Develop 3D models, perform clash detection, and produce complete installation and customer approval drawings. - Manage schedules, deliverables, and quality standards for mechanical project areas. - Coordinate with construction and on-site teams, resolving field issues and supporting installation activities. - Lead installation support, site surveys, audits, and commissioning efforts. - Validate system calculations, engineer custom parts, and ensure all designs meet safety and performance standards. - Mentor junior engineers, review work, assign tasks, and provide structured feedback to support technical growth. - Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication of engineering decisions and project progress.
