  • Review architectural, structural, electrical, and civil drawings for impacts to mechanical systems and coordinate solutions.
  • Develop and review construction documents, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and technical reports.
  • Conduct site surveys and jobsite visits to verify compliance with approved design documents and resolve field issues.
  • Support equipment selection and sizing in coordination with vendors and manufacturer representatives.
  • Assist with preconstruction efforts including schematic designs, quantity take-offs, and conceptual estimating.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and develop alternative technical solutions as needed.
  • Provide informal technical guidance and mentoring to designers or EITs (no direct people-management requirement).

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Engineer III: Typically 7-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Engineer IV: Typically 10-15+ years of mechanical engineering experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting construction operations in a design-build environment.
  • LEED, CEM, or CPD certification.
  • Broad market experience (healthcare, higher education, commercial, industrial, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
