Full Job Description
Gas Turbine Efficiency (GTE) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design gas turbine auxiliary systems, such as fuel packages and skidded systems, in collaboration with our team and external partners. Key responsibilities include component selection, generating Bills of Materials (BOMs), creating drawings, and preparing technical documentation for system production and testing. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background, Solidworks CAD expertise, and experience with piping, process control, skids, and fluid systems. Project management experience is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design equipment skids, piping systems, and control systems for gas turbine applications.
  • Use Solidworks CAD to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Review project specifications and ensure designs meet customer requirements.
  • Integrate piping, valves, pumps, and instruments into safe and functional systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial standards and codes.
  • Select components and generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, and testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients to meet project timelines.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years experience in mechanical engineering, including design, fabrication, and testing of industrial systems.
  • Proficient in using Solidworks for creating 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Experience designing piping and process control systems for industrial applications.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment (e.g., control valves, pumps, motors) and documentation (e.g., P&IDs, General Arrangement Drawings, Bills of Materials).
  • Working knowledge of key industrial codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, API, ASME) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools like FEA and CFD is a plus.
  • Project management experience is preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Professional engineering license (Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer or equivalent) desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally working in and around large skid/frame-based structures and/or enclosure-type housings to evaluate job progress, offer instruction/guidance, make measurements, and/or troubleshoot issues while supporting GTE's manufacturing process.
