Mechanical Design & Reliability Engineering Manager Idaho National Laboratory needs a Mechanical Design & Reliability Engineering Manager to develop and execute transformative operational strategies that directly fuel America's energy leadership and next-generation technological breakthroughs, with work shaping policies and practices that advance nuclear innovation, national security, and energy solutions continuing a legacy of scientific excellence. May manage supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt staff. • Receive objective-based assignments and determine resources to meet schedules and goals. • Responsible for a single function, location, and technical discipline. • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the department or multiple disciplines. • Help develop overall goals and long-term goals of the department and possibly the division. • Work with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units. • Partner with main contacts outside own area of expertise and other external partners. • Communicate results and recommendations across disciplines. • Third level of management with human resource responsibilities. Typically, all work is performed through the management of others. • You will typically report to a direct report of a Director, Sr. Director, or Senior Leadership. Required: • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years experience in DOE contractor experience and 2 years of leadership experience with at least 10 direct reports. • Experience with interfacing with DOE-EM and DOE- NE on future nuclear projects • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) and as a Cost Account Manager • Successful record leading engineering execution of nuclear projects • Experience with Facility Information Management System (FIMS) • Experience as Design Authority for nuclear facilities.. Job Information: Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Mechanical Design & Reliability Engineering Manager to work on our Mechanical Engineering team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off. • The target pay range for this position is $158,712- $237,174 annually. The full pay range is $107,844 - $274,980. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials. • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment.
