Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on the Louisiana LNG project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Receives assignments with clear goals and the process by which to meet goals
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
  • Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
  • Recommends changes to policies that affect immediate organization(s)

Planning / Productivity
  • Determines workforce requirements.
  • Coordinates established area operational plans.

Tools, Materials & Equipment
  • Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
  • Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.

Safety & Quality
  • Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.

Technical
  • Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
  • Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. ective


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with rotating and static equipment.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling development.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Smart Plant Review, Document database navigation.
  • An understanding of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health.
  • Knowledge of the project's ES&H handbook, the supervisor's ES&H manual, the project safety management plan and Bechtel's core processes.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
  • Must have previous direct hire experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of LNG facility installations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment

Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
