Position Overview
Apollo is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and operationally minded leader to jointheGlobal Client Marketing & Events organization. TheDirector, MarketingStrategy &Operationswill partner closely with the Global Head of Client Marketingand Client Marketing &Events COOon day-to-day business management, strategic planning, governance, and operational excellence across all marketing disciplines globally.
This role serves as a key right-hand partner to senior marketingleadershiphelping drive clarity, accountability, and coordination across a dynamic global function. The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing insight, operational rigor, and strong relationship management skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
The position will report to theClientMarketing & Events COOand have close connectivity to the rest of the Client Product Solutions COO team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational priorities and operational consistency across Apollos global platform.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
Operationalize the firms Marketing strategytranslating strategic priorities into actionable plans, frameworks, and KPIs that ensure consistent execution across regions and channels.
Leverage research, audience insights, and competitive analysis to informframeworks that can be used by broader team to alignmarketing positioning, content development, and go-to-market strategies.
Support governance processes, ensuring disciplined planning, execution, and reporting across all marketing teams globally.
Marketing Operations & Execution
Define operational processes and workflow optimization across ClientMarketing;drive efficiency, scalability, and best practices in campaign management, budget tracking, and resource allocation.
Integrate AI-driven marketing technology tools and platforms into workflows and processes to drive efficiency and productivity gains through automation, streamlined execution, and enhanced decision support.
Developand maintainexecutive reporting dashboards, presentations, and business reviews.
Manage budget-to-actual tracking for marketing activities, aligning channel spend to ROI priorities and business outcomes.
Monitor performance metrics, CRM data integrity, and enablement tools to ensure data-driven decision-making and accountability.
Agency, Vendor, and Partner Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage key external agency and vendor relationshipsto augment team capacity and capabilitiesspanning creative, research, contractor/consulting, and marketing technology partners.
Act as the central point of contact for agency engagements tied to key initiatives, coordinating inputs and approvals withClient Marketing& Eventsleadershipto ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
Negotiate contracts and scopes of work, ensuring value alignment, performance accountability, and cost efficiency.
Establish processes for continuous evaluation of external partners to ensure high standards of delivery and innovation.
Serve as a central liaison between internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure cohesive execution and brand consistency across all channels.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Client Marketing& Events leadershipproviding insightsonculture, talent, and operational progress.
Coordinateacross Client Marketing, Client & Product Solutions, Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Capital, and other cross-functional teams toalign oninitiatives and shared objectives.
Build and nurture strong relationships across the organization to enhance collaboration and communication.
Promote a dynamic, inclusive culture that reflects Apollos values and the One Apollo mindset of partnership and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
7 6 years of experience in marketing strategy, operations, or business management; deep understanding of the financial services landscape, particularly alternative asset management
Demonstrated success leading operational processes, managing budgets, and implementing scalable systems.
Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills; proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM/marketing automation tools.
High EQ, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Entrepreneurial and resourceful self-starter with a hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Pay Range
