About the role:The position reports directly to the US Associate Director of Marketing. The product manager for U.S. marketing of Specimen Management (SM) will be responsible for all business functions related to the assigned SM portfolio in the United States including but not limited to: revenue growth, profitability, new product development, clinical affairs, regulatory compliance, sales support, pricing strategy, inventory management, contracts, forecasting, financial planning, customer service, and sales force effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide leadership for SM assigned portfolio in the U.S. by working closely with internal teams such as manufacturing, quality assurance, research and development, technical service, clinical affairs, regulatory, finance, supply chain, sales operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Finds opportunities to increase revenues through strategic initiatives focused on both existing products and new product introductions.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of assigned products including defining target markets, establishing price points, developing promotional programs, managing inventory levels, implementing new product launches, and overseeing product obsolescence.
- Lead efforts to educate customers regarding the value proposition of BD SM assigned products.
- Oversee implementation of commercial activities at the local level, including customer training, marketing campaigns, and sales meetings.
- Work closely with field-based personnel to ensure effective communication between marketing and sales forces.
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify ways to maintain and grow market share.
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Develop and manage annual operating plans and budgets for assigned products.
- Collaborate with cross functional team members to drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain awareness of changes in market dynamics, consumer trends, and emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree (Preference for Marketing, Biomedical Engineering)
- 4 years of marketing experience in life sciences.
- Solid understanding of clinical and economic factors influencing purchasing decisions in hospital settings.
- Strong experience applying fundamental marketing concepts and techniques.
- Experienced and comfortable interacting effectively with senior executives within the organization and outside the organization.
- Demonstrated experience building strong relationships internally and externally with all levels of the business.
- Proven history applying excellent communication skills conducting product line meetings and partnering with stakeholders to present and implement marketing plans. Articulating portfolio strategy around the product line.
- Proven history displaying excellent organizational skills leading multiple projects' simultaneously, while also driving marketing activities.
- Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's Degree
- Experience in the Medical device industry.
- Strong excel experience
