Our Pet Segment is searching for a Marketing Manager to join our pet Health & Wellness Business Unit (BU). This BU offers products that support the general health and wellbeing of dogs and cats, with a portfolio of brands in the calming, supplements, and flea & tick categories. The business is sold on e-commerce through retailers like Amazon and Chewy and has a significant presence in the Pet Specialty channel and at Walmart. There is ample opportunity to extend the distribution footprint behind powerful collaboration with our sales and category management teams and to build insights-based selling strategies, inclusive of product and packaging innovation.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will be responsible for supporting strategies to win with consumers and retailers, alike, based on solid insights, superior products, and total proposition design that delights. You will actively contribute to and influence the cross-functional team, leading with a collaborative and inquisitive style that enables data-based decisions along the journey. You will have broad exposure to a cross-functional business unit (e.g. finance, sales, operations, etc.), plus other functional experts for consumer insight and content development.

This position will be based in our Phoenix corporate office. We operate in a hybrid work environment, working from the office four (4) day per week, to balance in-person collaboration, learning and team connection with workplace flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop business objectives and integrated marketing plans for the assigned brand portfolio, reflecting the overall corporate goals, from innovative brand campaigns to packaging artwork updates; work with cross-functional teams to execute on time and on budget, from brief through commercialization to deliver against the brand, financial and share objectives to drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty
  • Successfully implement brand strategies and tactics for the annual marketing plan; lead the development of brand assets, including visual identity, tone of voice, and storytelling; Oversee content creation for websites, social media, email, and sales enablement tools
  • Drive brand performance and optimization; Monitor brand performance metrics (e.g., awareness, perception, engagement) and report on ROI; Continuously refine strategies based on data and feedback
  • Conduct regular analysis of key eCommerce metrics and consumer feedback to provide insights and recommendations to inform product development and marketing strategy
  • Work closely with brand teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all digital channels
  • Collaborate with sales, PIM, and CRM resources to develop and implement strategies to drive online sales and increase visibility across various eCommerce platforms
  • Monitor and track competitor activity and industry trends, staying up to date on best practices and new technologies, to identify opportunities to improve brand presence
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute digital marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Own your piece of the marketing budget, maximizing working dollars and delivering ROI commitments
  • Provide the field salesforce with marketing and programing tools to assist with their demand creation needs throughout the distribution channel, such as sales training presentations, marketing collateral, new product launch materials, and customer programs
  • Representing the assigned portfolio as "Brand Champion" within the company and industry, such as attending various industry events including consumer and trade shows, customer training meetings, and industry forums

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, marketing candidates strongly preferred
  • Must have at least 5 years of Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or Digital marketing preferred; Pet industry a plus
  • Working familiarity with and desire to lead in analytics, SEO/SEM, and digital technologies
  • Computer proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel (overnights) once per quarter
