A Brief Overview
Working closely with colleagues from across the CHOP Research Institute departments, this role will serve as the subject matter expert and dedicated communications liaison for the CHOP Innovation Ventures Team. The individual in this role will be responsible for strategic Marketing/PR planning and execution with a dual focus on external and internal audiences for the Innovation Ventures Department.

This position will be responsible for marketing CHOP intellectual property, technologies and capabilities externally to potential industry partners and promoting CHOP Innovation Ventures internally. Responsibilities will include creating and executing a marketing strategy for significantly expanding CHOP's commercialization activities (including licensing, research partnership, and new company formation) and strategic communications to the CHOP community.

The position will collaborate with faculty and colleagues within Innovation Ventures to create non-confidential summaries highlighting the value proposition of CHOP technologies, identify potential licensees via databases and software platforms, and conduct targeted marketing campaigns. Additionally, this position will develop and lead an internal communications strategy to promote engagement with Innovation Ventures.

What you will do
  • Promote CHOP IP assets and research programs to maximize their visibilities to potential licensing partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with CHOP constituents, potential licensing partners, and external stakeholders
  • Create and execute a marketing strategy that includes defining quantifiable and reportable success metrics
  • Create non-confidential technology summaries, coordinate production of marketing materials, including media contents, and distribute content via Innovation Ventures website and other marketing/communication media platforms
  • Identify potential licensees for CHOP technologies and conduct targeted marketing campaigns
  • Develop and manage internal communications to enhance awareness of Innovation Ventures' services and achievements
  • Manage and engage external industry contacts (develop and maintain a marketing contact database)
  • Support CHOP Innovation Ventures' presence at partnering conferences and events
  • Tracking and reporting marketing activity as necessary
  • Develop and implement comprehensive B2B and B2C marketing strategies to support our schools, adjacent portfolio companies, brand visibility, retention marketing, and community engagement.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, email, content, and PR.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and events to maximize exposure and attendance.
  • Oversee the organization's agency relationships and digital presence, including website, email marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Develop and manage content for digital channels to ensure consistent and engaging messaging.
  • Manage SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing techniques to drive online traffic and engagement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, and other team members to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a marketing team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Manage marketing and the teams for our different properties under the Ensemble brand.
  • Manage and help strategize brand development with our PR agency.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines and oversee the creation of marketing collateral.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Monitor and report on marketing expenditures and ROI.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Master's Degree in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications or related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • At least seven (7) years of marketing and/or public relations experience Required
  • At least ten (10) years of marketing and/or public relations experience Preferred
  • Previous healthcare marketing and public relations experience within in-house or agency environment Preferred or
  • Previous healthcare technology marketing, scientific/technical writing, technical communications experience Preferred or
  • Previous business development experience within a life sciences or academic technology transfer environment Preferred or
  • Previous ivnvestor relations experience within the biopharma sector Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$129,700.00 - $171,900.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.

This job is eligible for an incentive program.
