Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Marketing Consultant who will provide expert marketing consulting that drives success for our credit union clients. This role focuses on understanding client needs and delivering strategic marketing plans that maximize the success of their card portfolios. By leveraging data-driven insights, the Marketing Consultant transforms analytics into actionable recommendations, ensuring client growth and success through tailored marketing strategies.

The Marketing Consultant will be the primary point of contact for Velera clients, coordinating closely with internal teams, including Client Growth Executives, Marketing Specialists, Data Analysts, and Creative resources, to ensure the successful planning and execution of marketing campaigns.

This position requires a deep understanding of credit union member data, market conditions, and the competitive environment to deliver high-impact marketing solutions.

Day in the Life:
  • Client Consultation & Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary contact for assigned credit union clients, maintaining strong relationships at various levels of management.
    • Consult regularly with key personnel to identify, develop, and implement marketing strategies that leverage data insights to enhance client portfolio performance.
  • Strategic Marketing Planning:
    • Identify, develop, and implement strategic marketing campaigns that leverage client data to drive card portfolio growth and overall business success.
    • Create and manage detailed marketing plans, including overall project management and pro forma analysis, tailored to each client's needs.
    • Conduct post-mortem analyses to measure campaign effectiveness against performance targets.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation:
    • Utilize data analytics tools to conduct deep-dive investigations, identifying meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships in large datasets.
    • Transform raw data into actionable business information that informs strategic decisions and marketing recommendations.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Prepare and deliver clear, concise communication materials that summarize findings and support fact-based recommendations.
    • Provide regular performance measurements and insights to both clients and senior management, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration & Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including Client Growth Executives, Marketing Specialists, Data Analysts, and Creative resources, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
    • Participate in and provide subject matter expertise for company-wide strategic initiatives, staying abreast of industry trends, products, and services.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Keep current with industry developments, including Visa, MasterCard, Fiserv, and regulatory changes, to provide clients with informed recommendations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advancements in marketing strategies and tactics, ensuring that recommendations are current and relevant.
    • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and productivity within the business unit.

  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform market research as needed to support campaign development and client consultation.
    • Assist with the billing and reconciliation of consulting services, managing client discounts and ensuring accurate financial tracking.
    • Take on additional duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the Consulting Marketing team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics other related field or combination of education and experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Eight (8) years of marketing quantitative analysis experience and/or direct credit card, debit, and digital marketing required.
  • Client service experience. Knowledge of underwriting practices, collection practices, credit unions service models, credit and debit processing, fees, interchange, pricing and risk is essential.


Pay Equity
$95,800.00 - $124,500.00
Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
