Full Job Description
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a sharp, senior analytics leader to own Marketing Analytics and partner closely with the CMO and Marketing leadership in Austin and across the globe. It's a player-coach role that works through a small team: you'll guide a couple of analysts, but management is the lighter part of the job - you stay hands-on and in the game. Most of your time goes to setting priorities, keeping stakeholders aligned, and partnering on strategy - while still diving into the projects that need you. You're practical about rigor - you know when a question needs hard proof and when a directional read is enough to move fast. And you don't see marketing analytics in isolation: you keep it tied to the bigger picture of the business, working across teams to keep that view connected.

You bring 8+ years in Data Analytics or Data Science, deep experience in the Marketing domain, and a track record of leading people and projects. You're fluent in the craft and exceptional at stakeholder management, influence, and storytelling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Guide a team of marketing analysts. Set direction, prioritize across competing demands, and coach a couple of analysts to do their best work - raising the bar on how the team thinks and operates, while keeping management lightweight so you stay close to the work yourself.
  • Be the analytics partner that shapes and lands decisions. Sit with the CMO and the marketing team - Brand, Lifecycle, Performance, Growth - to frame the right questions, challenge assumptions, and shape strategy with data before decisions are made. Then close the loop with clear narratives, dashboards and self-serve tools that cut noise, and insights that actually change how Marketing operates.
  • Connect Marketing to the bigger picture - and look ahead. Don't run analytics as a silo. Partner across analytics so channel metrics, growth, and company outcomes tell one coherent story, anticipate what the business will need to measure next, and surface the opportunities the data is pointing to before anyone asks.
  • Keep stakeholders and priorities aligned. Translate a steady stream of requests into a clear set of priorities, keep Marketing and analytics partners updated on progress, and drive technical alignment so everyone works from the same definitions, methods, and source of truth.
  • Jump in hands-on where it counts. On the important, high-stakes projects you get involved directly - sometimes building part of it yourself, more often guiding, unblocking, and brainstorming alongside the team - staying close enough to the craft to lead it credibly.
  • Shape the measurement and experimentation framework. Help set the direction for how Marketing measures what's working - attribution, incrementality, CAC and payback, LTV - so the numbers people rely on are sound and actually drive decisions.
  • Balance rigor with pragmatism. Know when a question needs airtight causal proof and when it doesn't. More often you move directionally - forming sharp hypotheses, reading the signal in imperfect data, and making a confident recommendation or telling a clear story without waiting for perfect certainty. You'd rather point the business in the right direction now than be exactly right too late.
TO SHINE IN THIS ROLE
  • Experience: 8+ years in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a similar role with substantial hands-on work, with at least 3+ years in the marketing domain. Experience in SaaS and/or PLG background is a plus.
  • Hands-on technical leadership: 2+ years of experience guiding and mentoring a team of analysts while remaining a strong practitioner yourself - still able to dive into important projects and guide the team's technical work, not just direct it.
  • Stakeholder partnership: direct experience working with senior leaders; able to translate strategy into measurement and execution, and to partner across functions to keep a connected, business-wide view.
  • Technical toolkit: advanced SQL on large datasets, strong BI and visualization skills, solid statistics and experimentation fundamentals, and familiarity with causal inference. Comfortable with the tactical underpinnings - data integrations, attribution logic, conversion loops, and LTV modeling. Experience with Python or R is a plus.
  • Ways of working: proactive, structured, and comfortable with ambiguity; able to operate with autonomy and high standards across both strategic and tactical work.

WHAT WE OFFER

Benefits at Manychat don't start with a spreadsheet - they start with a belief: that you should be healthy, able to care for the people you love, and set up to do your best work. Everything below follows from that:
  • Annual professional development reimbursement for conference tickets, online courses, and other relevant resources to help you grow.
  • ♥ Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Hybrid work and generous leave options to prioritize your work-life balance.
  • In-office perks, including free meals and snacks.
  • Company-funded sport activities, annual offsites and team-building events.
  • AI isn't a perk here - it's how we work. Tools like Claude and OpenAI are available by default, and we genuinely back teams in adopting whatever makes them faster. It's a toolkit that's well ahead of the market, and you'll have it from day one.
