Full Job Description
The Market Sales Manager role is a critical role in our high-performing sales team. The successful candidate will manage all sales and executional functions within the respectively assigned geography which includes retail sales, account management and wholesaler sales. Selling and servicing PMI U.S.'s products in retail stores in assigned geography includes gaining new item distribution, promotion execution, merchandising products, and ensuring product freshness. This candidate effectively utilizes our data to provide leadership and direction to his/ her team to develop fact-based presentations for our customers and follow our call process. He/ she is responsible for adhering to budget for merchandising materials. He/ she is self-motivated to achieve their personal best every day while creating an environment where cooperation, credibility, candor, consistency and a commitment to exceptional performance exists. Your 'day to day':
    • Manages and provides direction to all assigned team members in support of the achievement of Company and Regional business objectives.
    • Oversees and manages appropriate routing and call coverage of team members to ensure proper execution of distribution and merchandising objectives.
    • Communicate clearly goals and provide visibility to performance against goals.
    • Analyzes the business building opportunities and develops executional plans to accomplish company, region, and market goals and initiatives.
    • Oversees and manages team to develop strategic business plans that will grow operating profits and revenue year to year with his/her assigned customer group. The focus will be against distribution, merchandising execution, pricing and promotion implementation, identifying region growth opportunities and category management.
    • Assess and evaluate the business results of all customers and recommend change strategies as needed.
    • Accurately manages operational data collection from team to ensure timely reporting of retail and account metrics to Region Sales Director.
    • Collaborates effectively with BDM and KAM to ensure alignment of executional objectives within market in service of providing appropriate direction to RTMs.
    • Reinforces strong partnerships with customers by wiring appropriately & establishing relationships while acting with integrity.
    • Understands and translates national and regional policies, procedures and operating strategies and plans to his/ her team.
    • Communicates with Impact consistently with team, cross-functional partners and his/ her customers.
    • Collaborates and actively engages with Retail Team Managers and Talent Acquisition in recruitment process for new team members in accordance with company recruiting and selection guidelines and policies.
    • Develops and ensures alignment of personalized development plans for direct reports based on Sales Competency Model.
    • Provide ongoing coaching to support team development in accordance with Performance Management standards and principles and Sales Competency Model
    • Creates a culture that fosters cooperation, credibility, candor, consistency and a commitment to exceptional performance across the team and with cross-functional partners.
Who we're looking for:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Five years of retail sales, account management, wholesale grocery or route sales
    • Proven ability to communicate with impact in written and verbal.
    • Strong presentation development and delivery skills are mandatory.
    • Strong planning, organizational, leadership, coaching, and teamwork skills, including team management
    • Strong analytical skills in service of understanding complex data to develop actionable initiatives to address business opportunities
    • Fully Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future
    • Strong understanding and utilization of resources such as:
      • Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word
      • MSA data
      • Salesforce (MAFs, store lists, trade programs, campaigns, customer contact information, authorized items)
      • Syndicated data
Annual Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 What we offer
