A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO as a Market Development Manager-All Channels & Commodities and help grow the sale and distribution of our brands across Retail and On-Premise accounts. In this market-facing role, you will bring sales and marketing strategies to life, build productive distributor and customer relationships, and use business insights to identify opportunities that strengthen performance.
You will strategically focus your time where it can have the greatest impact. Working alongside distributor representatives, district managers, and account teams, you will execute monthly programs, close distribution gaps, coach selling teams, and motivate partners to achieve shared goals. You will also evaluate market conditions, competitive activity, pricing, and brand performance to recommend actions that accelerate growth.
Success in this role calls for sound judgment, agility, and an ownership mindset. You will use technology and data to monitor results, direct action, and optimize resources while partnering across Commerce Marketing, Sales Finance, Customer Development, Direct-to-Consumer, and specialist teams. You will support consumer engagement initiatives, digital programs, events, and e-Retail opportunities while serving as a visible GALLO brand ambassador in the community.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
- Required to travel by air and car in order to execute job functions.
- Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to Travel by air and automobile up to 25% during the course of business.
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership, selling, time management, and public speaking skills.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Spirits Development Specialist, Spirits Development Specialist Sr, Business Intelligence Analyst Sr, Market Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 1; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external alcohol sales experience to include on-premise experience.
- Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands; identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; and addressing customer needs as a primary focus while building positive relationships with internal and external customers.

- We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
- This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
