Role OverviewThe Market Access Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of initiatives that improve payer, health system, institutional, and provider access to Medexus products. This role translates Market Access and brand strategies into customer-focused value communications, field resources, training, and programs that advance reimbursement, formulary positioning, institutional adoption, and appropriate product utilization. Working cross-functionally, the Manager connects strategy with field execution and equips customer-facing teams with evidence-based messages and materials tailored to the U.S. healthcare landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Access Strategy and Execution
- Translate Market Access and brand strategies into actionable initiatives for payer, health system, institutional, and provider audiences
- Lead field readiness for new Market Access resources and initiatives, including development of training materials, internal documentation, presentations, and rollout plans for customer-facing teams
- Partner with Market Access and field leadership to identify access barriers and translate those insights into targeted resources, tools, and programs
- Align Market Access marketing initiatives with commercial priorities, product life-cycle strategies, and organizational goals while promoting a coordinated One Medexus approach across Commercial, Medical, and Market Access functions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to establish project scope, timelines, budgets, responsibilities, and deliverables
Customer Value Communications and Materials
- Lead or support the development and maintenance of payer and institutional value propositions, economic and budget-impact resources, reimbursement and coding guides, formulary and account tools, customer education resources, presentations, objection-handling resources, and digital Market Access content
- Translate complex clinical, economic, reimbursement, and policy information into clear, credible, and customer-relevant communications
- Tailor materials by customer type, access barrier, account need, and stage of product adoption, partnering with field leadership to assess their usability and effectiveness
- Gather and incorporate customer and field feedback to continuously improve messaging, materials, and training resources
- Guide materials through appropriate Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review and ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and promotional standards
Field Enablement, Insights, and Analytics
- Support training that equips customer-facing teams to communicate product value effectively to payer, health system, institutional, financial, and operational stakeholders
- Develop resources that help field teams identify customer needs, tailor messages, and address access-related objections
- Monitor payer coverage, reimbursement policies, health system trends, competitive activity, and customer and field insights to identify access barriers and opportunities
- Partner with Analytics and Market Access stakeholders to assess customer engagement, resource utilization, program performance, and launch readiness
Project and Agency Management
- Drive projects from kickoff through delivery, coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors, tracking timelines, action items, dependencies, approvals, and deliverables
- Manage agency and vendor relationships, including briefing, performance oversight, budget management, and quality control
- Ensure projects meet strategic, operational, and compliance requirements
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, life sciences, pharmacy, public health, health economics, or a related discipline required; an advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH, MS, or PharmD is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare Market Access, with experience in Market Access marketing, payer marketing, institutional marketing, reimbursement, health system marketing, or value communications strongly preferred.
- Hematology and/or oncology experience required; rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Experience supporting payer, health system, hospital, or institutional customers, with demonstrated experience developing value propositions, reimbursement resources, economic materials, account tools, or executive-level presentations.
- Experience supporting field-based Market Access or account teams, managing cross-functional projects, and working with external agencies or vendors.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements, including working knowledge of MLR review processes.
- Working knowledge of the U.S. payer and reimbursement landscape, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, IDNs, and health system decision-making; familiarity with health economics, budget impact models, pro forma tools, and other Market Access value resources preferred.
- Ability to translate complex clinical, economic, reimbursement, and policy concepts into clear and actionable customer communications.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, budgets, and timelines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, build alignment across diverse stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project or Smartsheet, and related business applications.
Additional Information- Base salary range: $130,000 - $170,000
- Remote role with limited travel for team/company meetings
