Environmental Conditions
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

Manufacturing Supervisor - 1st Shift

Location: Grand Island, NY (Buffalo/Niagara Region)
Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Flexibility as needed to support business operations)

How You Will Make an Impact

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead daily manufacturing operations within our AOF AGT production area, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and operational excellence. You'll coach and develop a team of manufacturing technicians while driving continuous improvement initiatives that help our site operate efficiently and successfully.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a team of manufacturing technicians during daily operations.
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities comply with established procedures, cGMP requirements, and quality standards.
  • Monitor production performance and resolve issues to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Conduct performance discussions, provide coaching, and recognize employee achievements.
  • Support production planning and help ensure customer commitments are met.


Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.


Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and resource planning.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments preferred.

  • Experience documenting work accurately and following quality and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments to achieve production goals.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hair covering, and additional PPE as required.


Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,000.00-$95,000.00.
