What You Will Do This position is open for external candidates only to apply. The Product Realization and Reliability Office (PRRO) in Nuclear Production Operations consists of a multidisciplinary group of engineers and scientists that support plutonium programs (i.e., pit production, surveillance, research & development, and subcritical experiments) across the entire Nuclear Production Operations organization.
PRRO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Systems Analyst to support standardization of process and data usage in support of factory floor improvements. The objective of this role is to standardize information collection practices, develop solutions for leveraging the data to drive factory floor change, and link the information with other systems (PLM/MRP/MES/RMS etc.). This position will primarily be office work with intermittent trips to the shop floor. This role will provide as-needed support to different digital engineering initiatives and achieve a broad understanding of the digital engineering domain. Training for specific digital engineering capabilities will be provided.
The selected candidate will be responsible for-- Supporting the development of continuous improvement opportunities that leverage engineering systems and digital tools
- Co-writing policies and procedures for managing specific information objects and data standards
- Supporting capability leads in developing manufacturing systems capabilities from concept through production implementation
- Supporting Nuclear Production workforce in using engineering systems and tools (PLM, RMS, MBSE, etc.)
- Gathering requirements and collecting user feedback from Nuclear Production workforce
- Creating and maintaining engineering models and system documentation
- Developing light weight integrations and proof of concept tool sets

What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements: - Experience planning and executing projects of low to moderate complexity
- Experience creating and using engineering models in at least one domain (mCAD, eCAD, MBSE, FEA, Requirements etc.)
- Ability to code simple programs / proof of concept within an object oriented language.
- Strong documentation skills; demonstrated ability to document technical results in a formal method/format
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong presentation skills[MW1.1
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution related to the occupation combined with 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Q Clearance: This position requires a Q clearance and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by, or on behalf of, the Federal Government for access to classified matter.

Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
