Full Job Description

Duties:

  • Provide answers to technical fabrication/assembly questions involving products manufactured in a timely manner.
  • Work with Production Management to ensure all technicians are properly trained.
  • Assess feasibility and soundness of manufacturability of products.
  • Provide recommendations on improving safety in the work environment and address corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified.
  • Provide technical support analysis and/or performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies and field returns.
  • Lead initiatives focused on throughput improvement, manufacturing cost reduction, capacity enhancement and outsourcing.
  • Design and optimize production line layout, cell concepts, workstations, equipment and fixtures for ergonomics and efficiency.
  • Analyze manufacturing instructions and test procedures to insure specification requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain value stream mapping (VSM) of underperforming processes.
  • Perform the duties of production supervision as needed.
  • Create OMSs (Operational Method Sheet) for manufacturing.
  • Assist Inspection/Test with test fixtures and test procedures.
  • Initiate ECOs and similar documents due to changes in design or manufacturing method or processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or related field of study and Four (4) years of experience as an Operations Intern, or related role where required experience was gained. Also requires experience in the following:
  • 4 years of experience in creating detailed Operational Method Sheet for production and functional test teams
  • 4 years of experience in applying engineering principles, collecting test data to establish leak standards using Statistical Process Controls methodologies
  • 4 years of experience in managing products from inception through end-of-life by collaborating with cross-functional teams including management, production, sales, quality, and purchasing
  • 2 years of experience as a designated company administrator in implementation and maintenance of SolidWorks PLM/PDM
  • 4 years of experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing, 5S and Six Sigma principles to drive operational excellence
  • 3 years of experience in quality system documentation, developing PFMEA, PCP, IQ/OQ/PQ, RoHS compliant validation reports adhering to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001
  • 4 years of experience in utilizing Made-2-Manage ERP software involving creation of materials, process routing, documentation linkage and cost setup
  • 4 years of experience in managing Engineering Change Order (ECO) for product updates
  • 4 years of experience in SolidWorks experience in creating assemblies and drawings for product releases

Salary/Pay Range: $140,254 to $147,518.28/year
