Inside the Role
Chassis Manufacturing Engineering combines a diverse engineering background, including mechanical and manufacturing engineering, with hands-on vehicle product knowledge and applied project management. As a manufacturing engineer, you will bring your experience and enthusiasm to the team, take a lead role in developing and establishing effective processes and technologies, and help to grow knowledge within the Offline & Chassis ME team and the department.

Daimler Trucks is seeking an entry engineer to innovate, create, and develop vehicle assembly processes. In this role you will design, develop and deliver manufacturing processes that offer unmatched quality and features to our customers.

Position offers a starting salary range of $71,000 - $91,000USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Designs, develops, and implements new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods
  • Designs arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout
  • Designs the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions
  • Conducts tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems
  • Provides guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
  • Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations


Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelors Degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficient in CAD, AutoCad, and MS Office
  • Requires basic understanding of theories, practices, and procedures related to job field
  • Works within standard practices and procedures to analyze information and problems of limited scope
  • Works within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlines
