Job Description SummaryGE Vernova seeks to recruit a Managing Counsel for our Wind segment. The preferred candidate will have significant experience in a multinational corporate environment, ideally within the energy, industrial, or EPC sectors. This role requires exceptional judgment, business acumen, and the ability to effectively navigate a dynamic and complex industry.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
• Provide strategic legal advice to the Wind segment teams.
• Lead legal & compliance strategy and direction for the Wind segment in conjunction other internal Counsels and in close coordination with the Wind segment Global Legal & Compliance team
• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with large-scale projects, including negotiation, drafting, execution, interpretation and review of complex agreements.
• Advise business on new, changing, and unique regulatory and compliance issues in the region.
• Support segment litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution.
• Manage outside counsel and associated spend.
• Advise on a wide range of legal matters.
• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the business objectives of the Wind segment.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, sourcing, projects and operations.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, solution-oriented thinking, and high ethical standards within the Wind segment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
• Admitted to practice law in at least one US state with 8+ years as a practicing attorney
• Extensive experience in complex commercial transactions and large-scale project contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level legal advice and counsel to executive leadership.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Wind industry and regulatory landscapes
- Experience with EPC projects.
- Background in a project-oriented, industrial company
- Knowledge of US federal and state regulatory frameworks.
- General understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act, including Prevailing Wage, Domestic Content, and Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements
- Hybrid in Houston and will consider remote for those outside of Houston

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $176,300.00 and $293,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
