Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Travel Security. This position must be based out of New Brunswick, NJ and on-site 4 days/week.

Purpose: The Manager, Travel Security plays an important role within Johnson & Johnson’s Global Security organization by helping protect employees, travelers, and business operations through proactive travel risk management, operational monitoring, incident coordination, and stakeholder engagement. This role advances J&J’s Credo-based duty of care by turning global risk information into actionable guidance and strengthening the processes, partnerships, and tools that enable safe and resilient business travel.

The role partners with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Regional Security, Crisis Management, Travel Business Partners, HR, Legal, Communications, Facilities Management, and external providers to support traveler accountability, high-risk travel workflows, mass notification, crisis readiness, training, reporting, and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead core Travel Security Risk Program processes in alignment with Global Security governance and enterprise duty of care expectations, including travel restrictions and suspensions, risk disclosures, mitigation guidance, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide risk-based security guidance that enables informed travel decisions and helps mitigate exposure to geopolitical, environmental, medical, crime, civil unrest, and operational threats.
  • Develop and maintain travel security policies, standards, procedures, playbooks, job aids, traveler guidance, and stakeholder workflows.
  • Monitor global risk developments and translate intelligence, threat reporting, and operational updates into concise communications, briefings, and high-risk travel justification materials.
  • Provide timely updates to travelers and business stakeholders when changes in the threat environment may affect employee safety, business travel, site operations, or enterprise continuity.
  • Coordinate traveler security incident response with the GSOC, Regional Security, Crisis Management, Travel Business Partners, HR, Legal, Communications, and travel assistance providers, including escalation, communications, documentation, follow-up, and after-action learnings.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, metrics, and trend analyses that provide visibility into program performance, support data-driven decision-making, identify emerging patterns, and strengthen travel security readiness.
  • Support GSOC-enabled monitoring, traveler accountability, mass notification workflows, operational escalations, and end-to-end traveler support processes.
  • Develop and deliver travel security training, awareness content, briefings, and enablement materials for employees, travelers, executive assistants, business partners, and Global Security stakeholders.
  • Participate in crisis exercises, tabletop scenarios, readiness activities, and after-action reviews to test procedures, clarify roles, and improve enterprise response capabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate security, GSOC or regional security operations, travel security, intelligence analysis, incident coordination, crisis management, emergency management, or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret intelligence, threat reporting, and operational risk information and translate it into clear, actionable guidance for travelers and business partners.
  • Experience using operational monitoring tools and workflows, travel tracking, mass notification, case management, and escalation processes.
  • Proven ability to coordinate timely, cross-functional responses within a global, matrixed organization while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and appropriate information sharing.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training, briefings, job aids, and awareness materials for varied audiences.
  • Strong writing, documentation, stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills across functions, regions, and organizational levels.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive traveler, employee, incident, and security information.
  • Ability to support readiness exercises, stakeholder engagements, crisis events, and time-sensitive operational requirements with flexibility and sound judgment.
  • Experience applying travel risk management principles, duty of care concepts, and/or ISO 31030 guidance preferred.
  • Experience partnering with travel assistance providers, intelligence providers, security vendors, travel management companies, or other external partners supporting traveler safety and incident response preferred.
  • Business continuity, crisis management, emergency management, corporate security, or risk management certification preferred.
  • Additional language skills preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
