Overview

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

As our Manager of Surgical Services, you'll lead the daily operations of our Operating Room, PACU, Anesthesia Services, and Wound Healing Center, ensuring every patient receives safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care throughout their surgical journey. You'll partner with talented physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation, elevate quality outcomes, champion regulatory excellence, and create a workplace where collaboration, professional growth, and employee engagement flourish. Responsibilities

  • Provides operational leadership and oversight for all areas within the operating room, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), anesthesia services and wound care, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality patient care and services.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement that supports patient-centered care and professional nursing practice.
  • Partners with physicians, nursing leaders, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to prioritize patient care needs and align departmental operations with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Leads the coordination and delivery of nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members, including hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance evaluations, employee engagement, disciplinary action, and recognition activities.
  • Responsible for staffing and scheduling oversight to support operational efficiency, productivity standards, patient throughput, and fiscal stewardship.
  • Develops and manages departmental operating and capital budgets and supports achievement of financial goals.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree is required

Experience:
  • 3 years of perioperative nursing experience is required
  • 1 year of previous charge/supervisory experience is preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):
  • Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.
  • Basic Life Support
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
