We are looking for an experienced
Supply Chain Manager to lead production planning and materials operations for a high-volume plant environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, supporting growth initiatives, and managing a cross-functional team. The role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Greeneville, TN facility.
Role Responsibilities:- Develops and manages the overall production planning activities for the plant maximizing customer service, delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control and purchasing.
- Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures.
- Develops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which includes continuously evaluating the plant's needs capacities, capital, and expenses, to meet growth goals.
- Establishes effective communication with internal departments to ensure on time delivery of product and team support.
- Minimizes interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
- Assists in planning the operating budget.
- Manages team of buyers, planners, shipping and receiving team members for 2 facilities at the Greeneville site.
- Lead the plants S&OE processes to align demand, supply, and scheduling to meet customer demands
Minimum Qualification:- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional level manufacturing/production control experience
- Prior people-management experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in production control, materials purchasing, inventory planning, detailed scheduling, warehouse management, and logistics in a manufacturing environment
- CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD from APICS ASCM or other national certification
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software for data mining and dashboard development
- Background in Kaizen, or continuous improvement
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma, or project management
