Position SummaryResponsible for the operational leadership and management of Sterile Processing Services across Valley Health System, including Sterile Processing Departments (SPD), Main Sterile Areas (MSA), reusable medical device (RMD) reprocessing, and system-wide sterile processing initiatives supporting the Main Campus, Ridgewood Campus, Luckow Pavilion, and future procedural locations.
Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the System Manager provides leadership for the daily operations of Sterile Processing Services across the health system, ensuring the timely availability of safe, sterile instrumentation and reusable medical devices that support surgical and procedural services. The Manager is responsible for standardizing operations, optimizing resources, maintaining regulatory compliance, improving quality outcomes, leading performance improvement initiatives, and ensuring fiscal stewardship across the sterile processing platform.
The Manager provides administrative oversight of sterile processing equipment, reusable medical device inventories, sterilization technologies, equipment maintenance programs, vendor service agreements, instrumentation assets, operating budget, and supports long-range equipment replacement planning across all Valley Health System campuses. The position Ensures operational reliability of sterile processing equipment and systems, ensuring the reliability, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and readiness of equipment, technology, instrumentation, and operational systems supporting patient care.
EducationBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or related healthcare field required. Master's degree preferred. CRCST certification required. CHL required within two years of hire if not currently certified. CIS, CER and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
ExperienceMinimum five years progressive sterile processing leadership experience required. Minimum three years management experience in an acute care or integrated healthcare system preferred. Multi-campus leadership, regulatory compliance, budget management, quality improvement, and performance improvement experience required.
SkillsDemonstrated leadership in operations, finance, regulatory compliance, contract management, change management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Pay Range: $94,140.80 - $117,686.40
