About the jobThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,200 - $300,000 20% bonus target equity benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google San Francisco, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.
Responsibilities - Lead a team of engineers to maintain service uptime while managing global on-call rotations and evaluating technical contributions.
- Design and deliver software that optimizes availability, scalability, and efficiency while building automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Develop and execute mid-term technical roadmaps that align with future infrastructure needs and prioritize engineering excellence.
- Guide system architecture by vetting designs, breaking down complex problems, and assessing trade-offs to ensure coherent solutions.
- Oversee cross-team engineering projects and improve operational practices to drive reliability, maintainability, and stakeholder alignment. Mentor team members and drive organizational growth through active participation in hiring, training, and community development initiatives.
