The Manager, Provider Compensation Analytics & Reporting

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours
Location: Downers Grove, IL | Hybrid

The Manager, Provider Compensation Analytics & Reporting provides recurring, executive-ready reporting and analysis that gives leadership clear visibility into physician compensation, productivity, market position, trends, variances, and key economic drivers. The role converts complex provider compensation data into concise insights, root-cause explanations, and decision-support materials for senior leadership while building repeatable reporting processes that reduce dependence on one-time manual analysis. The Manager partners closely with Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand the data, validate unusual results, and surface the operational and financial drivers that matter. The role is distinct from day-to-day compensation calculation and administration and is expected to independently determine the most effective analytical approach, reporting cadence, and presentation for assigned questions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

35% - Executive Reporting & Communication
• Own and continuously improve the recurring executive reporting cadence for physician compensation, productivity, market position, trends, variances, and other key performance measures.
• Translate detailed analysis into concise, executive-ready presentations, summaries, and visualizations that explain key drivers, highlight risks and opportunities, and clearly identify material findings and decision points.

25% - Provider Compensation Analytics & Benchmarking
• Analyze compensation and productivity across physicians, specialties, and departments to identify trends, outliers, relationships, root causes, and underlying economic or operational drivers.
• Perform market benchmarking and comparative analyses using internal and external data, with appropriate attention to definitions, comparability, and business context.

20% - Repeatable Reporting & Analytical Infrastructure
• Build and improve repeatable reporting processes, datasets, tools, dashboards, and templates that reduce recurring manual work and create consistent leadership visibility.
• Partner with Provider Rewards and relevant data owners to improve reporting efficiency, automation, scalability, documentation, data integrity, and presentation standards.

10% - Data Validation & Reconciliation
• Partner with all data owners to understand source data and compensation mechanics and investigate unusual or inconsistent analytical results.
• Perform targeted validation and reconciliation necessary to support accurate executive reporting without assuming responsibility for routine compensation calculation or payroll administration.

10% - Ad Hoc Decision Support
• Independently structure and execute analytical requests from Provider Rewards and senior leadership, determining the appropriate data, methodology, level of detail, and presentation for the decision at hand.
• Surface emerging issues, financial implications, risks, opportunities, and meaningful findings, and provide clear analytical support and recommendations for leadership decisions.
