Project Manager, Supply Chain Operations

Full-Time, Monday-Friday; Normal Business Hours

Location: Downers Grove, IL; Hybrid

The Project Manager, Supply Chain Operations leads the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional Procurement and Strategic Sourcing initiatives, ensuring projects stay on scope, on schedule, and aligned with departmental priorities. This role partners closely with category managers, sourcing leads, and business stakeholders to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and drive initiatives from kickoff through successful implementation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Execution
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of Procurement projects across direct and indirect spend categories, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to scope.
  • Plan, manage, and execute Procurement projects across direct and indirect spend categories, in collaboration with leadership, contracted service providers, and vendors
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and required internal and external stakeholder involvement
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resourcing plans to support successful execution
  • Conduct risk analysis to proactively identify and mitigate potential obstacles, delays, and cost impacts
  • Conduct periodic scope, schedule, and cost reviews using industry best practices, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Measure and track project performance and progress throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain a portfolio view of active and upcoming Procurement projects to support prioritization and resource planning

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Partner with Procurement leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, manage expectations, and keep project status visible across the organization.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations to prioritize and manage the project pipeline
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle to maintain productive, engaged relationships
  • Proactively manage project communication, including weekly project notes, trackers, progress reports, and other documentation as needed
  • Provide summarized project plan documentation to departmental managers and other stakeholders as needed
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget
  • Implement communication strategies around operational changes affecting Procurement and other departments

Contract & Documentation Management
Support the administrative and contractual foundation of Procurement projects, ensuring accurate records and well-managed vendor relationships.
  • Manage related service contracts in partnership with Procurement and Operations leadership and other functional leaders within Duly
  • Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and outcomes to maintain a clear project history and support future planning
  • Track and report on realized value, cost savings, and other project outcomes to demonstrate impact
  • Support continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and methodology across the Procurement function

  • Experience delivering on aggressive savings targets
  • Understanding of working capital and driving payment term extensions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills - comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience structuring and managing contracts end-to-end

    The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $67,953.60-101,930.40, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
