What you'll be doingClient Account Management (CAM) plays an important role in supporting clients through moments that matter while balancing strong portfolio performance and responsible risk management. As a Manager, Portfolio Management - Collections, you'll manage the day-to-day performance of assigned secured and unsecured collections portfolios. Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management - Collections, you'll monitor portfolio performance, analyze delinquency trends, execute collections strategies, and work closely with partners across Operations, Risk, Analytics, Technology, and Product to optimize portfolio outcomes. You'll use portfolio analytics, customer behaviour, and operational insights to improve roll rates, cure rates, recoveries, customer experience, and operational effectiveness. You'll also help ensure all portfolio activities align with regulatory requirements and enterprise risk standards.

How you'll succeed- Manage portfolio performance - Monitor assigned secured and unsecured collections portfolios by reviewing delinquency trends, inventory movement, roll rates, cure rates, recoveries, and overall portfolio health. Identify performance gaps and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
- Execute and enhance strategies - Execute approved collections strategies across assigned portfolios, assess strategy effectiveness, and recommend enhancements based on data analysis and operational insights.
- Deliver meaningful analysis and reporting - Analyze portfolio performance using dashboards and operational metrics, produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, and complete root cause analysis for threshold breaches or performance deterioration.
- Build strong partnerships - Collaborate with Collections Operations, Risk, Analytics, Product, Technology, Finance, and vendor partners to implement portfolio strategies, resolve operational issues, and support initiatives that improve customer and business outcomes.
- Support testing and continuous improvement - Execute pilot initiatives designed to improve collections effectiveness, measure outcomes, document learnings, and recommend broader implementation where appropriate.
- Strengthen governance and compliance - Ensure portfolio activities align with regulatory requirements, enterprise policies, and operational controls, while supporting governance forums, portfolio reviews, and audit activities.
Who you are- You bring relevant experience. You have 5+ years of experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, or consumer lending. You also have a strong understanding of secured and unsecured collections portfolios and delinquency management.
- You're analytical and data-driven. You enjoy working with data and turning complex analysis into clear, actionable business recommendations. Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Power BI, or similar analytical tools is an asset.
- You're a strategic problem solver. You proactively identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance through analytics, strategy optimization, and operational improvements.
- You're a collaborative partner. You build strong working relationships across Operations, Risk, Product, Analytics, Technology, and vendor teams to deliver strong business results.
