Organization:

CPMC-California Pacific Med Center

Position Overview:

Is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events in support of philanthropy initiatives and fundraising goals. This manager develops and implements event strategies aligned with the goals of Sutter Health, ensuring exceptional experiences for donors, volunteers, board members, physicians, and community partners. Oversees all aspects of event production, including timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, communications, and on-site execution. Serves as a key liaison with senior leadership, philanthropy staff, medical center partners, and external stakeholders to ensure events are well integrated with organizational priorities, strengthen donor engagement and stewardship, and enhance visibility for the Foundation in the community.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality, Marketing or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years of recent relevant experience in event planning, fundraising events, hospitality, or related field

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of event planning, production, and hospitality standards, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or philanthropy environment.

Knowledge of donor engagement and stewardship principles, with the ability to design events that support fundraising and relationship-building objectives.

Aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite and event-related systems such as registration platforms, budgeting tools, and project management software; ability to learn new software quickly.

Strong project management, budgeting, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously while delivering high-quality results.

Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, coaching/mentoring, and the ability to motivate and engage others.

Ability to build and establish effective working partnerships with employees, peers, leaders, vendors, and community partners to achieve business objectives.

Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems in real time, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced event environment.

Demonstrates ability to work/interact with a diverse population while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Pay Range is $118,560.00 to $177,840.00 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
