Full Job Description

The Manager, People Acquisition position supports our People Acquisition team as part of the People Office (HR) Team within Ankura Business Services, our internal firm services function. This position will focus on sourcing & recruitment for assigned practices within Ankura.

People Acquisition Manager Contributions

  • Own the full recruitment life cycle, from initial outreach to closing stages
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and lead the end to end talent acquisition process for your area
  • Be accountable to deliver 100% of the talent plan by prioritizing work appropriately, asking for and allocating resources as required, and removing roadblocks as they appear
  • Manage recruitment processes in line with agreed priorities, ensuring excellent candidate experience and fast turn-around times
  • Regularly track pipeline, recruitment metrics, priorities, and performance data to share with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure recruiting success and robust candidate pipelines through leveraging all channels: employee referrals, applicants/active, and passive/sourced candidates in addition to innovating more avenues for attracting amazing candidates
  • Source both active and passive candidates utilizing creative strategies and techniques
  • Ensure a high level of data integrity with our ATS (Workday) and other People Office systems
  • Partner with business leaders to deeply understand and advise on current and future state talent needs and adapt to changing headcount plans related to business outcomes and priorities
  • Be a strategic advisor to business leaders as you collectively devise and deploy diverse talent acquisition strategies
  • Create an environment of shared ownership around talent outcomes
  • Foster a culture of excellence with deep recruiting subject matter expertise, strong business acumen, and a focus on innovation and scalable solutions
  • Act as a strategic partner by providing a unique perspective on market trends, competitive intelligence and industry best practices
  • Makes recommendations that optimize our processes and organization
  • Tightly manage a multi-stage interview process that ensures that decisions are made in a structured way and according to pre-defined criteria with the goal of reducing bias
  • Create meaningful job descriptions that speak to the brightest minds and influences top talent to engage with our brand and apply to our open positions
  • Proactively and creatively scout and source talent on LinkedIn as well as other sources - find the talent that is not looking to be found
  • Conduct thoughtful outreach campaigns that leverage insightful and relevant content to your chosen audience
  • Recruit for diversity by using best practices to attract, hire, and retain a diverse workforce
  • Nurture talent over time to create an ecosystem of highly qualified candidates who are interested in Ankura and who can be contacted for open positions as the organization grows
  • Be the face of Ankura to the talent market - maintain professional and courteous communication with candidates to foster long-term relationships
  • Know your candidates by investing time in understanding their capabilities and aspirations
  • Ensure that we are delivering great candidate and hiring team journeys by using data to identify and address weak links in the process or approach
  • Continue to raise the bar for talent through research-driven targeting and consistent use of high-quality assessment tools
  • Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, using good judgment and data to make the right call on priorities and resources

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years recruiting experience with demonstrated ability to influence successfully and achieve goals by partnering across a matrix of business leaders, HR partners, as well as external partners
  • Prefer prior recruiting experience with fast-paced industries including management consulting
  • Proven experience in identifying, engaging, and closing excellent, senior-level passive candidates
  • Understand the value of a well-structured process and enjoy working with a diverse team of interviewers to continuously monitor and improve decision making quality
  • Proven ambition and ability to close candidates in a highly competitive environment
  • Understanding of what makes a person a good fit for a job including technical, cultural, and personality competencies
  • Experience building strong candidate relationships and knowledge of how to communicate around highly personal topics such as motivation, compensation, and career progression
  • Talented and experienced at removing roadblocks and creative problem solving
  • Must be metrics-driven and adept at using data to continuously report on and improve the recruitment process; experience with Workday is a plus
  • Experience building trust and establishing genuine relationships with both hiring partners and candidates by intentionally working to understand intrinsic motivators and end-state goals
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to understand your audience and adapt your verbal / written communication accordingly
  • Strong attention to detail and operational excellence – experience prioritizing across many stakeholders and candidate pools without dropping the ball
