Tuxedo Operations Manager

About the Job
As a Tuxedo Operations Manager, you will manage all daily operations and tasks related to the Tuxedo Rental return process and dock operations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. Generate, reconcile, process reports, including researching inventory discrepancies and collaborating with other departments as needed. The successful candidate must be able to provide effective leadership of operational execution and planning to ensure the absolute best service.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities:
Manage daily operations of a department within the tuxedo rental assembly process. The successful candidate must be able to provide effective leadership in a fast paced, time sensitive operation. The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include but are not limited to:
• Effectively supervises manpower in the distribution Tuxedo production assembly
• Establish challenging individual and team goals
• Assist Management to develop and executing operational plans (Production, and Resource planning)
• Implement team and individual training
• Work with other departments within the distribution center to solve merchandise processing and shipping problems
• Participate in daily planning meetings with all Tuxedo Rental functional managers
• Interact with and maintain a positive relationship with management, department staff, store personnel, and vendors
• Ensure departmental best practices and procedures are used by staff
• Maintain equipment inventory
• Maintain a high-quality work environment
• Document and track metrics to measure efficiency of departments
• Document and track formal training, counseling, and annual performance appraisals
• Weekly/Monthly operational analysis
• Special projects as needed
• Ensure employee morale is kept at a high standard
Skills & Experience:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required, College degree preferred
• Minimum three (3) years direct experience managing a large size (100-150) employee-based population in a production, assembly, or in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center environment with a high degree of responsibility
• Must be "hand-on" with strong leadership and managerial skills
• Experience in and solid understanding of Process Management, Inventory Control, and Quality Assurance in a production environment
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn proprietary programs
• Knowledge of database software, Internet software, and website technology is a plus
• Excellent communication (verbally and written) with all levels of organization and able to build effective relationships with others
• Highly motivated and high initiative in providing proactive efforts to resolve discrepancies with a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Analytical and critical thinking skills are required
• Excellent problem-solving skills in all areas of responsibility
• Must have good judgment and common-sense approach to business needs
• Proven experience working with all levels of employees and management and ability to garner the loyalty and trust of direct reports
• Ability to motivate, to encourage, and to lead a team-oriented environment
• Must have a "can-do" attitude with a sense of urgency and dedication to the success of the overall business mission
• Effective time management and conflict management skills
• Must have excellent attention to detail with strong organizational, multi-tasking and follow-through skills
• Must always be professional and have a positive attitude with the highest level of customer service
• Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling is required based on business needs (i.e., increased hours, weekends, holidays, and volume of work, staffing shortages, etc.)
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment setting with physical demands that include continuous standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, using material handling equipment, radio-frequency (RF) scanners, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more
• Physical Demands
• Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required.

The starting rate for this position is $80,704 - $107,598 and may increase to $134,493 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
