Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on global tax compliance preparation and corporate return filings
  • Prepare reconciliations, including cash income taxes and related computations
  • Maintain corporate tax returns and computations, including R&D credits and limitations
  • Conduct various tax studies, including Transfer Pricing and 382 analysis
  • Research and document complex tax issues and non-routine transactions
  • Manage daily operations including monthly/quarterly close and reconciliations.
  • Assist with M&A, due diligence requests, and tax planning efforts.

Full Job Description
As a member of our tax team, you will report to the Senior Manager of Global Tax and you'll play a key role in monitoring and maintaining our company's financial success. This role offers the opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to collaborate with a team of dynamic colleagues at the intersection of tech and pharmaceutical science.

What you'll do:
  • Coordinate with external tax providers for tax provisions preparation to ensure compliance of PCAOB and ASC 740 standards in the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K SEC filings
  • Collaborate with external tax providers for global tax compliance preparation, including quarterly and annual domestic and foreign corporate return filings
  • Prepare reconciliations including income tax payable/receivable rollforwards, cash income taxes, DTA/FIN48/UTP, return-to-provision
  • Maintain US federal and state corporate tax returns and related computations, including but not limited to SBC, GILTI/FDII, FTC, 382 limitations, R&D credits and capitalization
  • Maintain current and deferred tax reporting for domestic and foreign legal entities, including but not limited to analysis and determination of valuation allowances, re-investment assertions, and related translation adjustments
  • Facilitate various tax studies including Transfer Pricing documentation, R&D and other tax credit studies, and 382 analysis
  • Research domestic and international tax regulations, and document complex tax issues, non-routine transactions, preparing position memos and supporting documentation
  • Maintain tax notices and correspond with various tax authorities in a timely fashion to follow up on requests, assessments, refunds, audit inquiries, and settlements
  • Run daily operations, including monthly/quarterly close and reconciliations
  • Assist with M&A, due diligence requests, tax planning, and information requests

What you should have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or another relevant field (CPA designation strongly preferred)
  • At least four years of experience in tax provision and compliance, or at least two years in public accounting at a CPA firm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)
  • Background with tax research tools such as Bloomberg Tax Research and CCH
  • In-house experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with tax compliance tools such as OneSource, Corp Tax, Gosystem is a plus
  • Familiarity with SALT, indirect tax is a plus
  • Understanding of international tax, including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, is a plus
  • Background in life sciences or software/technology industry is a plus

Estimated base salary range: $130,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
