Help lead the network operations of a leading global law firm

Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, a global leader in intellectual property law, is seeking a Manager of Network Services to oversee the engineering, operations, and performance of the firm's enterprise network infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Network Services, this opportunity is for a hands-on network leader who wants to develop people, solve meaningful problems, and serve as a trusted voice across the business.

This leader will translate network strategy into strong execution, lead a team of engineers and administrators, and ensure operations align with firmwide architecture, security, governance, and risk requirements.

The role in action:
  • Strengthen the day-to-day performance, resiliency, and availability of the enterprise network that powers Finnegan's legal, business, and client-facing operations
  • Lead a skilled network team with practical coaching, and a focus on reliable service delivery across a multi-office environment
  • Drive network upgrades, patching, remediation, and modernization efforts that strengthen performance, security, and long-term scalability
  • Bring leadership to network incidents by coordinating troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, and timely resolution

We are seeking candidates who:
  • Have 6+ years of enterprise network engineering or infrastructure operations experience in a large-scale, multi-site, or professional services environment preferred
  • Bring 3+ years of experience leading technical staff, with the ability to balance hands-on expertise, coaching, and sound decision-making
  • Demonstrate expertise in routing and switching, WAN/LAN design, VPN, wireless, segmentation, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Understand hybrid infrastructure, including data centers and cloud connectivity, and thrive in high-availability environments
  • Hold a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with strong communication, documentation, judgment, and problem-solving skills
