The Role:

As a Manager, Digital Performance, you will be responsible for planning, measuring, and managing digital performance of digital tactics, strategies and campaigns across multiple business lines, programs, and platforms (mobile, desktop, app). You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, measuring, and supporting strategic initiatives as it relates to driving the growth of sales and/or revenue across Scotiabank's Canadian banking ecosystem.

As part of Scotiabank's Digital Channels department, the Digital Performance team is responsible for leading annual fiscal planning, in-year sales performance management and influencing strategic direction of online sales & revenue growth.

The incumbent needs to be firmly rooted in objective data-driven decision making, with a track record of ideating, executing, and measuring tactics that have material impact on sales & revenue growth. Your ability to transform data into compelling stories will influence product backlogs, priorities, and strategic decisions across business and technology teams.

Is this role right for you? - In this role you will:

  • Lead performance management for assigned digital products, journeys, channels, and campaigns, ensuring clear visibility to performance against annual targets, forecasts, strategic objectives, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical partners to establish trends, understand performance, identify opportunities for growth, and provide actionable insights to ensure that Scotiabank positively performs to our annual and strategic sales targets.
  • Lead the development of executive-ready performance narratives for monthly and quarterly business reviews, performance committees, scorecards, planning forums, and ad hoc senior leadership updates.
  • Connect digital sales, funnel performance, marketing activity, customer behaviour, product changes, risk decisions, and digital roadmap initiatives into a cohesive performance story.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and promote Data Literacy with partners and key stakeholders to raise the collective understanding of data, tools, etc. available to them.
  • Investigating and become an expert in available data sources, transform and determine how they can be interpreted for analysis. Identifying any gaps or pain points and develop plan of action to address.
  • Bridges data analytics with business goals by identifying clear 'so what' action items and to showcase how campaigns or business initiatives are driving results
  • Leverage analytics, partner reports and vendor tools to support monthly reporting and ad-hoc requests to generate insights in an effort drive performance management across multiple business lines
  • Consistently seek and proactively suggest project ideas, data process improvements, new ways to use user data, value propositions and personalization to develop engaging and measurable campaigns
  • Drive acquisition goals by executing best-in-class tactics, recommending strategies and by optimizing continuously within the agile digital framework
  • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in performance measurement or analytics (preferably in financial services or digital transformation). Masters, MBA, or PhD is an asset
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to translate complex data and performance trends into clear, concise, executive-ready narratives and confidently present insights, recommendations, risks, and opportunities to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking, influencing without authority, stakeholder management, adaptability, and problem-solving are critical for this type of role
  • Strong familiarity working with data sets and can effectively drive insights
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint for data analysis, visualization, and presentation. Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and Sales Force is an asset
  • Proven ability to structure and interpret data from diverse sources providing meaningful insights that influence business decisions.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong partnerships across business, analytics, and technology teams to find alignment in leveraging data points for key KPIs, to showcase opportunities or client pain points, and inspire action to drive growth via indirect influence.
  • Experience working in regulated industries, or within banking environment is preferred. Experience with deposits, credit cards, investments, mortgages, business banking, lending, creditor insurance or other banking products is an asset.
