Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience working on policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, or relevant industry associations.
- Experience working with the Department of War (DoW).
- Experience with tech policy.
- Must possess an active US Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred qualifications:- Experience working for a company within the defense industry.
- Experience working with the US Department of Defense (DoD), and familiarity with its organizational structure and decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of DoW operations, budget, and procurement processes.
- Ability to work effectively with defense-oriented stakeholders and policymakers.

Additionally, you will engage with key trade associations vital for advancing Google Cloud's goals in the government sector.

Responsibilities - Design and execute a comprehensive engagement strategy that positions the organization as a thought leader and mission partner to executive leaders within the DoW and IC.
- Translate complex technology solutions and legislative developments into actionable business intelligence.
- Identify and shape white space opportunities within the defense budget. Leverage ties to key decision-makers to move beyond traditional procurement, focusing on high-level strategic partnerships.
- Serve as the principal interlocutor between the company's executive leadership and government officials, including Senate-confirmed appointees and career SES leadership.
- Partner with internal technical and product teams to ensure our capabilities are evolving in lockstep with the requirements of the national defense strategy.
