Role Summary & Impact

As a Manager, Planning, you will lead the day-to-day account activities and play a key role in translating marketing and advertising objectives into actionable, integrated media strategies. This role requires strong project management skills and a proactive mindset to move work forward, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

You will own the progression of workstreams from strategy through to execution-managing timelines, aligning stakeholders, and removing blockers to keep projects on track. In addition, you will help develop the capabilities of Associate(s) and/or Senior Associate(s), fostering a culture of accountability and executional excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director on communication plan development, ensuring seamless progression from brief through to execution
  • Own project management across campaigns, including timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination
  • Proactively drive projects forward, ensuring deadlines are met and next steps are clearly defined and actioned
  • Act as a central point of contact across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early and resolve them to maintain momentum
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the client's business to inform strategy and execution
  • Oversee the implementation of approved communication plans, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Direct marketing and media analyses to support data-driven recommendations
  • Serve as the primary planning/buying integration contact for external agency partners
  • Provide clear, consistent project status updates to stakeholders, including progress against timelines and key milestones
  • Mentor and guide Associate(s) and Senior Associate(s), reinforcing strong workflow management and ownership
  • Train team members on media disciplines, tools, and client-specific processes
  • Evaluate team performance with a focus on execution, accountability, and growth
  • Maintain financial oversight in partnership with Client Accounting and agency partners
  • Build strong relationships across teams and partners to support effective delivery and collaboration

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in media planning/strategy, preferably within an agency environment
  • Experience working across multiple media channels
  • Proven strength in project management, including managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward, prioritize effectively, and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with tools such as MediaOcean and Prisma preferred
  • Experience working in a data-driven environment is a plus
  • Strong ability to work autonomously, adapt quickly, and manage competing priorities

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between the values at the bottom of this posting. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

$65,000-$115,000 CAD
