What you’ll be doing

The Marketing Data and Advanced Analytics (MDAA) team supports direct marketing by fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. As the hub of marketing strategy and innovation at CIBC, the team drives growth, engagement, and retention across our client base through advanced analytics.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Analytics & Strategy Activation within MDAA, the Manager, Analytics will be an individual contributor on the team, You bring end-to-end experience in data analytics and are accountable for leveraging diverse data sources to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful analyses and reports that drive actionable strategies and optimization in collaboration with Marketing stakeholders, Lines of Business, and Channel partners.

You will be detailed oriented, highly analytical, diligent and passionate about using data and insights to tell a powerful story.

How you’ll succeed

  • Analytical Expertise 6 3+ years99 experience building meaningful analyses and reports around clients, segments, products, channels and marketing strategy, tracking & analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns. Skilled at end-to-end analytics, including data sourcing and preparation, independently structuring analyses, extracting actionable insights.
  • Strong Communication and Storytelling Skills -- You excel at storyboarding and visualizing analyses to effectively convey insights and opportunities. Confident in your ability to communicate complex information in a clear and impactful manner, you transform data into compelling narratives that drive understanding and action.
  • Analytical Thinking, and Problem Solving -- You apply critical thinking to ask the right and insightful questions and identify root causes. With strong analytical skills, you engage the right stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and develop effective solutions. Your approach combines attention to detail and collaboration to navigate complex problems and drive results.
  • Relationship Building 6 You proactively take ownership of your work, managing and nurturing relationships with business partners as a trusted advisor. By understanding their priorities and supporting them in achieving their objectives, you foster strong, collaborative partnerships.

Who you are

  • You are Data-Driven and Technically Proficient: Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large tables/datasets to uncover key trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Expert-level proficiency in SQL and/or Python, with experience using Databricks. A quantitative background (B.Sc. or higher, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
