Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, social media and Promotions efforts of del Lago Resort and Casino. Assist the Senior Director of Marketing in ensuring the messaging and voice of Advertising and Promotions are consistent with the companies branding standards and guest service promise. The Marketing Manager is responsible to ensure all Marketing, Advertising, and Promotions comply with New York State Gaming Commission and Responsible Gaming requisites.

Pay Range: $80,000-$90,000 annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safeguards company assets and adhere to all cage policies and procedures
  • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to them on an assigned shift
  • Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential function
  • Balances all money transactions and paperwork
  • Meets all attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to include strict adherence to attendance and appearance guidelines as well as confidentially
  • Handles Team Member and guest financial transactions
  • Required to be alert for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency and/or vouchers
  • Balances all funds under his/her responsibility and prepare reconciliation reports accordingly
  • Ensures, at all times, the cash inventory is well secured
  • Required to fill in as Cage Cashier as assigned
  • Conducts themselves in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous, and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts
  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to computer keyboard
  • Interpret and follows through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The Marketing Manager is required to possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Be able to focus on short- and long-term commitments and stay abreast of a constantly changing advertising environment. Utilize traditional and non-traditional advertising to optimize performance of dollars. Effectively track and communicate results from advertising efforts. Ability to work with a PC, understand and analyze media plans and data, financial reports, produce annual budgets and monthly Profit and Loss statements. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Possess exceptional review skills for grammar and content.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
  • Obtain required license(s)
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department
  • Knowledge of the property's programs to address problem gambling
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls
  • Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of
