Full Job Description
Role: Manager, Marketing Activation

Location: Hybrid, New York City

Job type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000 -$140,000/year

About The Role

The Daily Mail reaches one of the largest news audiences in the United States. Daily Mail+ is our growing subscription product, and the US market will play an important role in reaching our ambition of one million subscribers by FY28.

We are hiring a Marketing Activation Manager to lead day-to-day CRM and marketing activation for Daily Mail+ in the US. Reporting to the Director of Subscription Growth, US, you will translate centrally developed lifecycle strategy and segmentation into relevant, compliant campaigns for the US audience, while supporting acquisition activation when additional capacity is needed.

This is a hands-on execution role for a marketer who combines strong campaign-management skills with sound judgment about the US market. You will work closely with the CRM and Customer Intelligence teams in London, the US Acquisition team, Legal, and other partners to turn strategy into effective customer communications across email and emerging channels.

About What You'll Do
Own US CRM Campaign Execution-
  • Plan and execute CRM campaigns for the US subscriber base, including send planning, content development and adaptation, audience coordination, timing, and channel selection.
  • Manage email as the primary CRM channel today and support the introduction of push, in-app, and other channels for the US audience.
  • Maintain an accurate campaign calendar and coordinate dependencies so activity launches on time and to a consistently high standard.

Adapt Activation for the US Market-
  • Translate centrally developed lifecycle strategy, segmentation, and campaigns into activity that reflects US audience needs, seasonality, tone, and market context.
  • Serve as the primary connection point to London on what is working, what is not, and what the US market needs.
  • Support the US Acquisition team with activation execution when dedicated capacity is needed, aligning priorities with the Director of Subscription Growth.
Embed Compliance from the Start-
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with Legal on US data-protection, consent, and marketing-permission requirements, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and CCPA/CPRA.
  • Build compliance requirements into campaign planning and execution rather than treating them as a final-stage review.
  • Maintain clear processes and documentation to support compliant, consistent activation across channels.
Improve Performance through Insight and Testing-
  • Monitor CRM engagement, retention, churn, and acquisition-activation results and use performance data to improve future activity.
  • Partner with CRM, Customer Intelligence, and Analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance and identify actionable audience insights.
  • Develop a practical testing cadence across content, timing, segmentation, offers, and channels, and apply learnings across the US program.

About You-
  • At least four years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, marketing activation, or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience building and executing customer campaigns, preferably across email and at least one additional owned channel.
  • Experience adapting centralized or global marketing strategies for a local market.
  • Working knowledge of US marketing-compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and CCPA/CPRA.
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn campaign results into practical improvements.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively across US and international teams.
  • Experience in subscriptions, media, publishing, or another high-volume consumer business is preferred.
Initial Priorities-

During your first 90 days, you will:
  • Assume ownership of live US CRM campaign execution and establish a clear forward campaign calendar.
  • Complete a review of current US CRM activity, processes, performance, and channel readiness, identifying the most immediate opportunities and risks.
  • Establish an effective working model with Legal for US marketing compliance and confirm how requirements are incorporated into campaign planning and approvals.
  • Agree priorities and ways of working with the CRM and Customer Intelligence teams in London and the US Acquisition team.
  • Present a practical testing and optimization roadmap across content, timing, segmentation, offers, and channels.

About What We Offer
  • Salary range: $110,000-$140,000/year
  • Healthcare benefits
  • Dental and optical coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Generous paid time off
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a global media organization
