Full Job Description
Role: Manager, Paid Media US

Location: Hybrid, New York City

Job type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000 -$120,000/year

About The Role

Daily Mail reaches one of the largest news audiences in the United States. Daily Mail+ is our growing subscription product, and paid media will play an important role in reaching our ambition of one million subscribers by FY28.

We are hiring a Paid Media Manager to own paid subscriber acquisition for the US market. Reporting to the Director of Subscription Growth, US, you will manage paid search and paid social campaigns to deliver subscriber volume at an acquisition cost and payback period the business can sustain.

This is a hands-on role for a performance marketer who is comfortable working directly in-platform. You will own channel strategy, campaign development, testing, measurement, and forecasting, while partnering closely with the global subscriptions team, Audience Development, Editorial, Analytics, and Finance.

What You'll Do

Own US Paid Media Performance-
  • Deliver paid subscriber volume against agreed acquisition cost, payback, and channel-budget targets.
  • Build and maintain channel-level forecasts, monitor performance against plan, and take corrective action when results fall behind target.
  • Allocate investment across campaigns and channels based on expected subscriber value, efficiency, and scalability.

Manage Campaigns-
  • Manage paid search and paid social campaigns end to end, including campaign build, bidding, budget allocation, audience strategy, and day-to-day optimization.
  • Maintain strong platform hygiene and ensure campaigns are structured to support accurate analysis and efficient decision-making.
  • Monitor market and platform changes and adjust tactics to protect performance.

Strengthen Measurement and Reporting-
  • Partner with Analytics and Data teams on tracking implementation, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
  • Use platform data alongside internal reporting to create a consistent view of performance across Marketing and Finance.
  • Translate campaign results into clear recommendations on spend, channel mix, and growth opportunities.

Build a Continuous Testing Program-
  • Develop and manage a testing roadmap across creative, messaging, offers, audiences, and landing pages.
  • Document results, apply learnings across channels, and scale successful approaches.
  • Test new platforms and formats to reduce dependence on a narrow channel mix and determine whether each can scale efficiently.

Partner Across the Business-
  • Work with the global subscriptions team, Audience Development, Editorial, Analytics, and Finance on planning, forecasting, and campaign delivery.
  • Share performance insights clearly and contribute to broader subscription-growth decisions.
  • Support and mentor junior team members as the team grows.

About You-
  • At least four years of paid-media experience, including hands-on ownership of paid search and paid social campaigns and budgets.
  • Direct accountability for acquisition cost, subscriber volume, revenue, or another meaningful direct-response target.
  • Strong working knowledge of attribution, incrementality, margin, and payback, with the judgment to understand which measure should guide a decision.
  • Experience building forecasts, managing budgets, and translating campaign data into clear actions.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with platform and internal performance data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across US and international teams.
  • Experience in subscriptions, media, publishing, or another high-volume consumer business is preferred.

Initial Priorities-

During your first 90 days, you will:
  • Assume ownership of live US paid campaigns, budgets, and channel-level forecasts.
  • Complete an audit of current channel performance, including spend allocation, return, tracking quality, and the most significant areas of inefficiency or opportunity.
  • Establish an agreed measurement and reporting model with Analytics, including consistent definitions for acquisition cost and payback.
  • Present a prioritized testing roadmap covering creative, audiences, offers, landing pages, and potential new channels.

About What We Offer
  • Salary range: $100,000-$120,000/year
  • Healthcare benefits
  • Dental and optical coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Generous paid time off
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a global media organization
