Full Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Legal, Human Resources and Administrative Officer, the Manager, Legal and Compliance Affairs, will provide support across a broad range of legal, compliance, and governance matters managed by the group of the Chief Legal, Human Resources and Administrative Officer. This is a hands-on role for a professional who is comfortable working independently on complex files while also contributing as part of a small, high-performing corporate team. Depending on the successful candidate's background and interests, the role will likely include responsibilities in insurance, risk management, and ESG matters.

  • Support the legal and compliance functions on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives, including liaising with insurance brokers and carriers on coverage and claims
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs and policies
  • Support the company's ESG reporting, disclosure, and governance initiatives
  • Assist with corporate governance matters
  • Collaborate with business units and other corporate functions across the organization


Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a legal or compliance department, or similar role, within a large multinational organization
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Experience as a paralegal considered an asset
  • Familiarity with insurance, risk management, and/or ESG matters considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical, and communication skills
  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
