Job Description

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Manager, IT Vendor Management, to lead vendor management and governance for outsourced relationships, helping minimize risk and ensure contract compliance. This role serves as the primary management contact and liaison between IT business owners, vendor service delivery, vendors, and internal teams. The Manager provides guidance on vendor performance to contracting and sourcing teams, oversees vendor managers responsible for monitoring service delivery and contracted service levels, and ensures outsourced partnerships deliver maximum value while meeting contractual SLAs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead staff responsible for managing contractual performance and compliance for complex or high profile/critical vendor(s) to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Partner with IT leads and vendor service delivery to understand evolving service needs and expectations, define business requirements, and work with the vendor to improve capabilities.

  • Ensure vendor management team is monitoring ongoing service level metric/performance to ensure contractual obligations and/or other performance agreements are met and providing corrective action management when required.

  • Coordinate analysis of information to determine if there are gaps in performance and how to best address through process improvements, training and/or other interventions.

  • Oversee internal process for handling high severity and stagnant issues/events; escalate and partner with internal business partners for remediation as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to standard procedures for vendor governance, including data access and security.

  • Ensure review of vendor work for quality issues, design and administer customer surveys and other feedback processes, and lead formal vendor service reviews and/or audits as needed.

  • Provide inputs to vendor contract negotiations to ensure vendor contracts align to business strategy.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners on vendor strategy discussions, providing data, knowledge, and feedback on vendor operations from the business perspective.

  • Provide ongoing oversight of work processes for the team as well as performance management, coaching, training, and development.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$118,691.00 - $189,906.00
