Short Description

The Manager, IT Mergers & Acquisitions is accountable for leading and orchestrating all Information Technology activities supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures at Bombardier. The role serves as the single point of accountability for the IT M&A stream, ensuring technology risks, costs, dependencies, and execution strategies are clearly defined, governed, and aligned with Bombardier business objectives. The position combines direct ownership of IT due diligence and carve-outs with senior-level orchestration across BIS domain teams, Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, and external advisors.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead the IT M&A stream and governance across transactions; orchestrate BIS domain teams; act as primary IT interface with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal and Enterprise Architecture; manage and challenge external advisors and integrators; provide executive-level recommendations.
  • Lead IT due diligence across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity and IAM; identify risks, dependencies, constraints, and integration/separation implications; ensure fact-based outputs to support transaction decisions.
  • Lead IT carve-outs/divestitures and separation strategies, including system disentanglement planning, transition principles, and secure operational continuity.
  • Lead the IT contribution to deal cost modeling and synergy analysis and support Day-1 readiness and TSA definition in close collaboration with Finance and Legal.
  • Provide post-close integration governance, principles and risk/issue oversight; ensure effective handover from deal readiness into sustained delivery execution.


How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • You have 12+ years of relevant experience
  • You have significant experience in enterprise IT with direct involvement in M&A, integration and/or divestiture
  • You have proven experience leading IT due diligence and IT stream planning in time-sensitive, confidential environments
  • You have demonstrated ability to translate technical findings into business risk, cost and execution impacts
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal and Senior Technology Leadership
  • You have experience managing external advisors, system integrators, and vendors in complex engagements
  • You have architecture-level credibility across ERP (SAP), PLM/Engineering systems, Cloud/Hybrid
  • You are knowledgeabloe of strong governance, compliance and risk-management orientation in regulated environments
  • You are able to structure ambiguous problems, identify critical paths, and drive decisions with significant business/financial impact
