ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Configuration Manager (Senior) to support the MODES III program supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). In this role, the selected candidate will support configuration management processes for MODES III systems and documentation, ensuring configuration items areidentified, baselined, and controlled. This position is remote and requires an active Secret clearance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Configuration Manager, Responsible for supporting configuration management activities to ensure MODES III systems, documentation, and technical artifacts areidentified, controlled, tracked, andmaintainedin accordance withGovernment requirements.
- Supports configuration management processes for MODES III systems and documentation, ensuring configuration items areidentified, baselined, and controlled.
- Assistswithmaintainingconfiguration management repositories, libraries, and version control mechanisms for technical and program artifacts.
- Supports configuration change control activities, including documentation, tracking, and coordination of configuration change requests.
- Assistswith configuration audits, reviews, and status accounting to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with established baselines.
- Serves as Configuration Control Board (CCB) Secretariat, coordinating agenda preparation, change request documentation, and meeting facilitation to ensuretimelyreview and disposition of configuration changes.
- Manages the Request for Change (RFC) lifecycle from submission through approval, implementation, and closure, ensuring all changes are properly documented, assessed for impact, and tracked to completion.
- Establishes andmaintainsconfiguration baselines for system releases, ensuring baseline integrity through formal change control processes and periodic configuration audits.
- Familiar with: ServiceNow /iTopCMDB, Ansible/Puppet, Terraform modules, Jenkins/GitLab CI for automated config, Git/Subversion, Artifactory/Nexus, Helm charts, Docker image/version control, SCCM, STIG/SCAP execution, ACAS ingestion, CM policy & baseline automation
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Secret clearancerequired.
- Experience: 10+ years relevant experience with BS/BA or 12+ years with AS/AA or 14 years w/o a degree or 8 years Experience with MS/MA or 6 years with PHD
- Certifications: This role requires a demonstration of capability within the Cyberspace IT workforce. Successful applicants must satisfy Foundational Qualification standards via an approved industry certification (e.g., A+ or Network+) or documented equivalent military/educational training as defined in the DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Experience with CMDB tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent configuration management platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale government IT modernization programs.
- CompTIA Security+
Worklocation: Remote with the ability to travel to the NCR if needed
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual27s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
