Full Job Description

The Manager, HR Technology Services is responsible for supporting HR operations while leading and supporting HR technology initiatives and strategic projects. The incumbent will focus on data governance, integrations with related campus systems, HR technology releases, audit response and mitigations, reporting, HR application security, and other strategic priorities as they arise.

On selected initiatives, the Manager, HR Technology Services will provide project management and oversight of cross-functional teams, facilitate the definition of requirements and scope, enable issue resolution, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and remove roadblocks.

The Manager, HR Technology Services will partner heavily with HR Technology leadership, collaborating extensively on support and maintenance issues, policy / procedure governance, and the resolution of issues raised by stakeholders inside and outside the Office of Human Resources.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Co-lead the analysis, design, development, and deployment of custom applications using Workday. Extend to address unique business needs that are not met by core Workday functionality, ensuring alignment with HR technology strategy and governance standards.

  • Collaborate with partners to capture business requirements, define scope, document and execute testing scenarios, and deploy technology solutions.

  • Direct one or more HR technology and integrations architects that support major HR technology solutions and initiatives such as application upgrades / releases, activation of new functionality, security, integrations, data requests, report development, and other system updates. Ensure appropriate resource allocation and escalate gaps as needed.

  • Regularly review, refine, and support HR application security procedures and related system configuration, and collaborate with related stakeholder groups including the Information Security Office.

  • Support and facilitate discussions with niche collaborator groups including Institutional Research and users of Workday’s faculty administration features.

  • Support HR technology risk mitigation efforts by managing procedures and delivering solutions related to data governance, audit compliance, reporting and /or data requests, and integrations between HR systems and other systems.

  • Support major HR technology initiatives such as semi-annual Workday releases, open enrollment and related vendor integrations, and other system updates by providing consultation and subject matter expertise.

  • Support various projects stemming from HR Technology initiatives, enhancements, and break fix requests that have significant impact on the business. Where applicable, the Manager, HR Technology Services will manage projects and assign tasks to personnel.

  • Co-lead the analysis, design, development, and deployment of custom applications using Workday Extend to address unique business needs that are not met by core Workday functionality, ensuring alignment with HR technology strategy and governance standards.
